Dr. Phillip D. Prater was born and raised in Ohio. He graduated from The Ohio State University College of Dentistry in 2008 and joined a practice in his hometown of Coshocton for 7 years. Dr. Prater met his wife Ashley, a Virginia Native, in 2011. They married in 2013 and moved to Blackstone in 2015. Dr. Prater feels blessed to call Blackstone home and enjoys the small-town southern lifestyle. Dr. Prater thoroughly enjoys helping people improve their dental health.
When Dr. Prater isn't practicing dentistry he enjoys golfing, riding his vintage Triumph Motorcycle, and spending time with his wife and daughters.
Dr. Prater is a member of the American Dental Association, the Virginia Dental Association, and the Southside Dental Association. He is committed to professional development and continuing education.
